Stable Hill Little Villager Pinot Noir 2016
Tracking down good Pinot Noir at under $20 a bottle can be a bit of a trick – unlike the Shirazes and Cabernet Sauvignons of the world Pinot is a bit of a fussy and high maintenance grape which ends up being reflected in the price tag.
Fortunately, it is possible and The Little Villager ticks the Pinot boxes with some earthy complexity you wouldn’t expect to see at this price point. A hint of truffly compost on the nose and bursting with ripe, red fruit on the palate and fine tannins – this is a delicious and elegant wine that will impress.
