Refunds and Cancellation Policy

At Wine Academy we endeavour to be as user-friendly as possible. However, there are certain costs associated with running our courses and, to be fair to all candidates, we adhere to the following Refunds and Cancellation policy.

WSET Level 1

Candidates’ places on courses are only secured on full payment of the course fee. This payment must be made prior to the close of registrations for the course.

Full* refunds can only be offered where a cancellation is made prior to the close of registrations for a course.

A candidate who cannot attend the course date for which he or she enrolled, and who advises us of this after the close of registrations, is welcome to participate in a subsequent course for an additional fee of $80. This covers Wine Academy’s additional WSET exam costs. This fee must be paid in full prior to the close of registrations and is non refundable.

WSET Level 2

Candidates’ places on courses are only secured on payment of a non refundable deposit ($280).  Payment in full must be made prior to the close of registrations for the course (two weeks prior to course commencement).

A candidate who withdraws from a course forfeits the deposit.  If the candidate has paid in full and withdraws prior to the close of registrations (two weeks prior to course commencement) then the balance ($500) is refunded*.  If the candidate withdraws after the close of registrations then all monies paid are forfeited.

Naturally, in the case that Wine Academy cancels a course, all monies are refunded in full.

* Please note that in cases where payment has been made by credit card an administration fee is added in the case of refunds where a student withdraws from a course (currently $30 for Level 1 and $50 for Level 2). If Wine Academy cancels a course all monies are refunded in full, irrespective of payment method.
