A light, easy drinking red from northern Italy. Edelvernatsch is a more precise name for a grape sometimes labelled as Schiava (there are a few different Schiavas …).
Quite floral on the nose, with lots of juicy red berry fruit which follows through on the palate. There’s bright acidity and soft tannins – making this wine eminently drinkable and refreshing (and, as with so many Italian reds, also great with food!).
